By public transport
Juurikkasaari is easily accessible from the center of Jyväskylä by local buses number 21, 16, and 16M. The bus ride takes about half an hour, and from the bus stop, it’s only an 800-meter walk to Juurikkasaari. You can find the bus schedules here.
By Car
There is plenty of free parking space available at Juurikkasaari. The drive from Jyväskylä city center takes about 20 minutes. Please note: during big events, parking spaces are arranged in the nearby area. More info about parking during events can be found with the event information.
By Boat
Our guest dock welcomes visitors arriving via Lake Päijänne! The boat trip from downtown Jyväskylä takes just about an hour. The terrace by the shore, with its stunning views of Lake Päijänne, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful spots on the lake.
Please note! Visitors arriving by boat, please use the stern buoy (no side attachments) so that as many boaters as possible can dock. Thank you very much!
By Bike
Juurikkasaari is an excellent cycling destination, as the route from downtown Jyväskylä and Muurame follows bike paths, so there’s no need to ride along busy roads. The bike trip from downtown Jyväskylä takes about an hour.
